PHILGA LAW FIRM is one of the leading law firms in Rwanda founded by Mr. GASHAGAZA Philbert, a High Court and Intermediate Court Judge. The law firm has a long and successful track record of offering high quality legal services to a wide range of clients with focus to non-governmental organizations, business entities, public-private partnerships and individuals. The law firm discharges its responsibilities with the intervention of eleven experienced advocates enrolled with the Rwanda Bar Association with the ability to work in English, French and Kinyarwanda.

The Managing Partner, Mr. GASHAGAZA Philbert is a Rwandan legal professional with strong interpretative and drafting skills. He is a holder of Bachelor’s degree of Law (LLB) and Diploma in Legal Practice (DLP). His areas of practice include Commercial Transactions and litigations in commercial, labor/administrative, tort, criminal and insurance law with advanced knowledge of different domains’ litigations treatment.

Before joining the Liberal profession (Advocate’s) and founding the Law Firm, he worked under different legal capacities including being a judge at to the High Court and Intermediate Courts of Rwanda, as Investigator on Interdictions and Incompatibilities of Senior Officials in the Office of the Ombudsman, he further worked as a professional and acting director of Court Judgments Review Unit (CJRU) in the Office of the Ombudsman. He joined Rwanda Bar Association in 2014 and is a member of East African Law Society. He understands well different transactions and potential disputes which helps in predicting and avoiding them before they occur.
